Job Summary

Provides competent care to patients in the family practice clinic setting.

Education/Requirements/Knowledge/Skills:

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (minimum associate degree nursing).
• A current State of Iowa Nursing License.
• Six months previous ambulatory care nursing experience preferred.
• Strong communication skills.
• Exceptional organizational skills including time management and work flow.
• Creativity and flexibility.
• Great attention to detail.
• Willingness to accept responsibility and accountability for own actions.
• The ability to serve as a patient advocate.
• The ability to establish and maintain working relationships with clerical and professional staff.
• The ability to follow policies, procedures and guidelines.
• The ability to maintain and display professionalism within the office setting.
• Excellent phone etiquette.
• Ability to work flexible hours.
• Must have basic computer skills and knowledge of office equipment
• Maintains certification for assigned work area.
• BLS/CPR Certification
