Position Overview:
PACHS is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Family Practice Clinic RN/LPN/CMA to provide competent care to patients in a clinic setting. This role involves direct patient care, assisting providers, and ensuring a high level of patient safety and satisfaction. You will be responsible for preparing patients for visits, assisting with exams and procedures, administering medications, and ensuring accurate documentation.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide patient care within scope of practice for all ages.

Prepare patients for their visits, document chief complaints, allergies, vital signs, and other pertinent information.

Assist providers with exams and procedures as needed.

Perform lab/diagnostic tests and ensure quality control; report critical lab values to providers.

Administer medications, immunizations, and treatments as ordered, and document all treatments provided.

Provide patient education using the "teach-back" method to ensure patient understanding.

Screen and manage incoming phone calls from patients, and provide follow-up as needed.

Maintain patient records accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.

Ensure all clinical equipment is maintained and properly sanitized.

Assist in the training and orientation of new employees.

Participate in continuous quality improvement (CQI) initiatives and maintain compliance with healthcare regulations.
Requirements:

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, LPN or RN, or Graduate of Medical Assisting Program.

Current State of Iowa Nursing License if applicable.

Six months of previous ambulatory care nursing experience preferred.

BLS/CPR certification required.

Strong communication, organizational, and time-management skills.

Ability to work as part of a team and adapt to changes in healthcare processes.

Basic computer skills and knowledge of office equipment.
