Position Overview:
PACHS is seeking a Nutrition Services Lead to assist in food service production, kitchen management, and staff supervision. This role ensures food and sanitation standards are met while supporting the Dietitian and assisting with inventory, reports, and staff training. The Nutrition Services Lead will help maintain the overall quality of food service, working closely with hospital staff and residents.
Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and assist Nutrition Services (NS) staff in food production according to established standards.

Ensure food, personnel, equipment, and facility standards are consistently met.

Help plan and implement new procedures to improve service.

Monitor food preparation, tray service, and meal activities.

Prepare weekly cleaning schedules and assist in sanitation efforts.

Assist the Dietitian in preparing reports related to purchasing, temperature monitoring, and monthly activities.

Maintain data entries concerning meal counts and inventory in the computer system.

Oversee purchasing, receiving, storing, and issuing of food and non-food items.

Serve as a working leader in the department, rotating on the schedule as needed.

Maintain cleanliness of the storeroom and walk-in cooler.

Assist in leading monthly Nutrition Services in-services and health system training sessions.
Requirements:

High School diploma or GED required.

Certification as a Dietary Manager or Food Protection Professional preferred but not required.

Food service experience preferred; on-the-job training provided.

Sanitation and food safety training will be provided.

Ability to work flexible hours.

Basic computer skills required.
-
Must attend modified Diets and Sanitation courses as needed.
