Position Overview:

PACHS is seeking a Nutrition Services Aide to assist in cold food handling, stocking, and clean-up duties in our kitchen and dining areas. This position plays a key role in maintaining the cleanliness of our dining facilities, assisting with meal preparation, and supporting the overall efficiency of the Nutrition Services department.

Key Responsibilities:

• Answer telephone calls, take messages, and make diet changes on tickets and census sheets.

• Fill the ice dispenser in the employee/visitor cafeteria.

• Clean and restock cafeteria and resident dining areas.

• Operate the dishwasher and clean the dish room as needed.

• Assist in preparing beverages for the tray line and assist with meal tray assembly.

• Deliver meals and snacks to appropriate areas within the Health System.

• Sweep and mop the kitchen and storeroom each night, using the floor scrubbing machine once a week.

• Perform various cleaning duties according to the weekly cleaning schedule.

• Assist other staff members as needed.

• Attend monthly Nutrition Services in-service training and Health System in-service training as required.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED required (or currently a high school student).

• On-the-job training provided.

• Ability to work flexible hours.

• Basic computer skills.
